Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called on President William Ruto to urgently establish the nine-member IEBC Selection Panel. Kalonzo emphasized the importance of speeding up the process to reconstitute the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
“The formation of the panel is critical to ensuring credibility in upcoming elections,” Kalonzo stated. He urged the government to prioritize transparency and accountability in the selection process.
This comes amid growing political pressure to overhaul the IEBC following disputes over its independence and effectiveness in past elections, the move has left Kenyans happy
