The Chief Officer for Agriculture in the County Government of Kitui, Madam Gladys Mami Kivoto, on Friday, flagged off the desilting of Munathi Earth Dam in Kyatune Ward, Kitui South, on behalf of Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe.
The event was graced by key government officials, including Mr. Mwangu Ivuti, the Governor’s Political Advisor, and Eng. Kennedy Mutati, Director in the Ministry of Water, among others.
The desilting project, funded by the Kitui County Government under Governor Malombe’s leadership, aims to enhance water storage and supply for the local community, addressing critical water challenges in the region.
