A visit to Michael Kivoto’s impressive 10-acre demo farm in Mutomo and Athi Ward has showcased the transformative potential of smart agriculture technologies in semi-arid regions. Mr. Kivoto, an ardent advocate for smart farming, has adopted advanced agricultural techniques to thrive despite the challenging climatic conditions. “My labour is never in vain,” Mr. Kivoto explained. “By harvesting enough water during every rainy season, I can irrigate my farm throughout the year.”
