Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna Calls for Inclusive Strategy Ahead of 2027 Presidential Election

Outstanding Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna has emphasized the need for an inclusive and national approach to the 2027 presidential election, urging leaders to transcend tribal politics.

Speaking to local media, the Wiper lawmaker highlighted that relying solely on the GEMA (Gikuyu, Embu, and Meru Akamba Association) community is insufficient to propel anyone to the presidency in 2027.

“The presidency requires a leader to garner support from at least 25 counties. This calls for a unified, nationwide strategy that goes beyond tribal affiliations,” said Nguna.

While acknowledging his support for the GEMA formation, Nguna noted that its focus should remain on social empowerment and unity, not exclusion. He called on fellow leaders to embrace diverse regions and communities to build a broader coalition for political success in the upcoming general election.

Nguna’s remarks come amid increasing political realignments as leaders strategize for the highly anticipated 2027 polls. His appeal for inclusivity underscores the growing recognition of the need for unity to foster stability and development in the country.
