Mwingi Central Residents Call on CPA John Makau to Vie for Parliamentary Seat in 2027, says he is the right man for the job.
Residents of Mwingi Central are rallying behind CPA John Makau, urging him to contest for the parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2027 General Election. According to local sources, a growing majority of constituents have expressed their dissatisfaction with the current leadership of Hon. Gideon Mulyungi and are calling for new leadership to bring progress and unity to the constituency.
The residents have accused Hon. Mulyungi of perpetuating a leadership style marked by intimidation and conflicts with other elected leaders in Kitui County. Among those he is said to have clashed with are Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, Senator Enoch Wambua, Woman Representative Irene Kasalu, and several MPs from the region.
“We are tired of the endless fights and frustration. Mwingi Central needs a leader who can bring people together and work harmoniously with others for development,” said a resident who wished to remain anonymous.
CPA John Makau, a close ally of Wiper Party leader H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka, has been identified by locals as the ideal candidate to restore order and sanity in Mwingi Central. Many believe his strong ties to the Wiper Party and his professional background make him a credible choice to challenge Hon. Mulyungi’s dominance in the constituency.
“John Makau has the temperament, skills, and vision to lead this constituency to greater heights. We are ready to mobilize and ensure he steps forward to lead us in 2027,” added another resident.
The growing calls for CPA John Makau to join the race signal the beginning of what could be a heated political contest in Mwingi Central as the constituency seeks a fresh start in its leadership. However, it remains to be seen whether Makau will heed the calls of his supporters and declare his candidature.
