Kitui Central Constituency, under the leadership of Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu, has announced the total number of secondary school students who have benefitted from the 2024/2025 NG-CDF bursary awards. A total of 12,053 students across the constituency have received financial assistance aimed at promoting education and easing the financial burden on families.
The distribution of beneficiaries per ward is as follows:
- Mulango Ward – 2,385 students
- Kyangwithya West – 2,145 students
- Kyangwithya East – 2,776 students
- Miambani Ward – 2,560 students
- Township Ward – 2,187 students
This significant initiative highlights the commitment of the Kitui Central NG-CDF team to improving access to education for all. The bursary program targets secondary school students, ensuring that many learners remain in school and achieve their academic dreams.
Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu lauded the progress, stating, “Education remains a cornerstone of our development agenda, and we are committed to ensuring that no child is left behind due to financial constraints.”
The NG-CDF office is currently in the process of data entry and cleaning to ensure accuracy and transparency. The final list of beneficiaries will be officially released in February 2025.
