Kanziko MCA Hon. Kimuli Kyalo Calls for Revival of Countywide ECDE Deworming Program

Kanziko MCA and Vice Chair of the Health Committee, Hon. Kimuli Kyalo, has urged the Kitui County Government to reinstate the deworming program in all Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) centers.

MCA was speaking during the commemoration event of World Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) Day at kitui stadium. The event is geared toward eradicating NTDs such as snake bites, kala-azar, and hookworms, which disproportionately affect vulnerable communities.

The MCA emphasized the critical role deworming plays in improving children’s health, nutrition, and academic performance. Hon. Kyalo called on the county leadership to prioritize this initiative, ensuring that young learners receive the necessary healthcare support for their growth and development.///__
