Anzauni National CLAN Patron Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli Rejects GEMA Talks

Kitui Town, June 3, 2024 – Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli, the Patron of the Anzauni National Clan, has voiced strong opposition to the ongoing GEMA talks, citing the lack of consultation with his clan leaders and community leaders.

Speaking to the press at his home in Kitui Town, Dr. Muli emphasized the need for the Kamba community to hold its own summit before considering any alliance with the GEMA community.

Dr. Muli proposed a “Kamba Summit Edition One,” akin to the Limuru Three meeting of the Kikuyu community, as a prerequisite for any discussions about joining GEMA. He criticized the current initiative, labeling it a pursuit driven by leaders with selfish motives aimed at advancing their personal interests ahead of the 2027 general election.

“The idea of the Kamba community joining GEMA is being driven by leaders with selfish gains,” Dr. Muli stated. “Our community must come together to agree on the principles of joining GEMA as equal partners, rather than being taken for granted.”

Dr. Muli’s comments reflect a broader sentiment within the Kamba community, emphasizing the importance of unity and mutual respect in any political alliances.
