President William Ruto has officially appointed a new Chairperson and six commissioners to the IEBC through a gazette notice dated June 10, 2025
According to the notice, Erastus Edung Ethekon has been appointed Chairperson of the IEBC for a six-year term.
The President also named Ann Njeri Nderitu, Moses Alutalala Mukhwana, Mary Karen Sorobit, Hassan Noor Hassan, Francis Odhiambo Aduol, and Fahima Araphat Abdallah as commissioners, also for six-year terms.
The newly appointed team will now be Sworn in & play a central role in overseeing the 2027 general election.
