Build Young Leaders, Don’t Destroy Potential,” Ikanga MCA Cyrus Kisavi Urges Kitui Leaders

Ikanga Kyatune MCA Hon. Cyrus Kisavi, popularly known as “Sonko,” has called on leaders across Kitui County to nurture and support young leaders instead of suppressing their potential. Hon. Kisavi made the remarks during a homecoming and thanksgiving ceremony for Hon. Harrison Maluki Mawia, Majority Party Leader and MCA for Migwani Ward, at Mumbuni Primary School grounds.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Kisavi emphasized the importance of empowering young leaders to build a brighter future for the county. Citing the example of Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna, he noted that when Nguna was first elected a decade ago, he was a relatively young leader. Over time, Nguna has grown to become a prominent voice in the nation.

“I urge the people of Mwingi West to re-elect Hon. Harrison Maluki in 2027,” said Kisavi. “He has demonstrated true leadership qualities and should be mentored for greater responsibilities in the future. Let us focus on building leaders rather than destroying their potential.”
