CS Malonza Discusses Economic Transformation in Kitui County

Kitui County, Kenya – In a recent stakeholder meeting held at the KEFRI Hall in Kitui County, CS Malonza engaged with local leaders and community members to discuss the Fourth Medium Term Plan and explore how Kitui County could benefit from the programs and projects outlined in the economic transformation blueprint.

During the meeting, CS Malonza highlighted several significant initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Kitui residents. “We discussed the life-changing projects that have so far been initiated in the county,” she said. “These include the injection of Sh250 million towards the completion of Umaa Dam, Sh487 billion for the construction of the High Grand Falls Dam, the Sh1.6 billion Kindaruma Water project which will supply water to Kiomo/Kyethani Ward, and the Sh800 million Kiambere Phase 2 Water project, among others.”

These projects are expected to provide substantial benefits to the county, including improved water supply, enhanced agricultural productivity, and overall economic growth.
