Kitui, Kenya – Madam Jane Mwende Kibati, a prospective candidate for Kitui Women Representative in the 2027 elections, has publicly urged President William Ruto to reject the controversial finance bill currently under consideration.
In an interview with TCD Digital Editorial, Madam Mwende passionately appealed to the President, highlighting the widespread discontent among Kenyans regarding the bill. She called for its complete withdrawal, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and listening to the people’s voice.
“Mr. President, DON’T sign the bill. Return it to Parliament for total withdrawal and rejection. Listen to Kenyans’ voice. We still need our peaceful nation,” she stated.
The finance bill has sparked significant debate and opposition across various sectors of society. Critics argue that its provisions could negatively impact the economy and burden citizens with additional taxes.
As the nation awaits President Ruto’s decision, Madam Mwende’s plea underscores the ongoing dialogue and concern among Kenyans about the potential implications of the bill.
