DP Kindiki Praises PS Mueke for Effective Coordination of Livestock Restocking Programs

.Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has lauded Livestock Development Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke for his exemplary coordination of the national Livestock Restocking Program, aimed at boosting pastoralist communities across the country.

Speaking during a high-profile empowerment forum held at Kwa Mutonga in Kitui Rural Constituency, the Deputy President commended PS Mueke for ensuring the seamless rollout of the initiative, which he said was key to enhancing food security and livelihoods in arid and semi-arid areas.

“I want to thank PS Jonathan Mueke for his hands-on leadership and commitment to delivering the government’s promise on livestock restocking. His coordination has ensured this program reaches the grassroots,” DP Kindiki said.

The event brought together top government officials and local leaders, including the host Commissioner of the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) Mr. Benedict Muasya, Mwala MP Hon. Vincent Kawaya, and several Members of the County Assembly.

The Deputy President reaffirmed the government’s commitment to economic empowerment through targeted programs under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). He also urged local leaders to continue supporting national efforts aimed at uplifting rural livelihoods.

The empowerment forum also featured the distribution of support materials and engagements with local SACCOs and community groups focused on livestock farming and economic self-reliance.
