EU to Fund 30 Electricity Projects in Mwingi West for 330 Million Shillings

Mwingi West Member of Parliament, Hon. Charles Nguna, has announced that the European Union (EU) will fund 30 electricity projects in Mwingi West with an investment of 330 million shillings. This significant development was revealed during an interview with County Diary Digital News.

The funding aims to enhance the region’s electricity infrastructure, boosting access to power for residents and supporting local economic growth. Hon. Nguna highlighted the positive impact this initiative will have on the community, improving living standards and creating opportunities for development

Is not yet over , for developments let’s reach out international community to support our region in terms of development, we have several projects being funded by the EU especially electrification programs , world bank and NGOs coming up and going on now, we should not heavily depend on national government to carry out development for us, it’s time to think outside box , what matters most for a community is not politics but development – Mp Charles Nguna

The projects are expected to address current challenges related to electricity access and reliability, providing a much-needed boost to the area’s social and economic activities. The funding underscores the EU’s commitment to supporting sustainable development initiatives in partnership with local governments.
