Former Kitui Chief of Staff Chrispus Ileli Urges Residents to Embrace Broad based Gvt

Former Kitui Chief of Staff, Chrispus Ileli, has called on residents of Kitui County to support a broad-based government, stressing the importance of unity for the greater good of the country. Ileli’s remarks were made during the burial of Pius Mutia Maithya in Kyangithya East, Kitui Central Sub-County, where he also appealed to religious leaders and the church community to come together in prayer for the nation’s peace, stability, and prosperity.

Ileli urged Kitui residents to align with President William Ruto’s broad based government where national cakes are shared, encouraging the Kamba community to move away from opposition and contribute positively to national development. He emphasized the need for collective responsibility in addressing the nation’s challenges.

“Now more than ever, the country needs prayers and support from all corners, including the church. Let us join hands in prayer for our president, our nation, and for the well-being of every citizen,” Ileli stated.

The event, attended by local leaders, family members, and residents, was a moment for the community to honor the late Pius Mutia Maithya. Ileli’s call for national unity comes at a time when the country is grappling with economic and social difficulties, underscoring the importance of collective action and prayer in overcoming these challenges.
