Former Mwingi West MP aspirant Hon. Patrick Koki Musau has urged unregistered Kenyans to obtain national identification cards in preparation for the upcoming mass voter registration. Musau emphasized the importance of voter preparedness in ensuring Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka secures the presidency in 2027.
Speaking at a social gathering in Mwingi, locally known as rurasho (kuvasila), Musau rallied Kitui County residents and Kenyans at large to fully support Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential bid. He described the 2027 elections as Kalonzo’s defining moment, urging unwavering backing from the electorate.
Musau, who unsuccessfully contested for the Mwingi West parliamentary seat in 2022, expressed his continued commitment to serving the constituency. He reminded voters of his past efforts and pleaded for future consideration.
“I have tried seeking your mandate before, but it has not been successful. However, I urge you to remember me someday,” he said.
The former Kitui County Executive Member for Environment also pointed out that the current MP, Hon. Charles Nguna, is already serving his second term and is eligible for pension. He suggested that it might be time for fresh leadership in the constituency.
Musau has been actively drumming up support for Kalonzo Musyoka in Kitui County, reinforcing Wiper Party’s political influence in the region. His calls for voter registration align with efforts to strengthen the party’s chances in the next general elections.
With the 2027 elections approaching, the political landscape in Kitui continues to take shape, with key leaders like Musau mobilizing support for their preferred candidates.
