Development maverick Governor Dr. Julius Malombe joined mourners in Ikanga, Kitui South, to pay his last respects to the late Rebecca Ngina Malonza, a distinguished lecturer and hospitality expert.
The late Malonza, who taught at Kenyatta University and the Kenya Institute of Professional Studies, was celebrated for her contributions to education and the hotel industry.
Addressing mourners, Governor Malombe extended his condolences to the bereaved family and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to grassroots development. He emphasized that his government will continue prioritizing key projects across the county to uplift livelihoods.
The burial was attended by several leaders, including Ikanga/Kyatune MCA Cyrus Musyoka (Sonko), Mombasa Wiper pointman Dr. John Chamia, and County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) Mwendandu and Eng. Itiko. Also present were Chief Officers Ferdinand Kathenge, Benjamin Chamia, Lynn Kitwan, Gladys Kivoto, Paul Ngei, and Jonathan Kyambi.
The late Malonza was eulogized as a dedicated academician and professional whose impact will be deeply missed.
