The High Court has extended orders barring the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) from blocking media houses from broadcasting protests live.
Justice Chacha Mwita on Wednesday, July 2, ruled that the orders will remain in force until October 27, 2025, when the matter will be mentioned again. The case was filed by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), the Kenya Editors Guild (KEG), and the Katiba Institute, who are challenging the CA’s move to restrict live coverage of protests.
