In a show of solidarity, Outspoken Hon. Mark Nding’o, MCA for Yatta/Kwavonza Ward, calongside MCAs from Kitui, Machakos, and Makueni counties, joined Wiper Democratic Party leader H.E. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka at the Yulambu Full Gospel Church in Mutitu/Kaliku Ward, Kitui East Constituency.
The gathering, which included local worshippers, was a platform for leaders to express their support for the ongoing ‘Gen Z’ demonstrations.
Addressing large crowds at Kaliku and Zombe markets, the leaders voiced their condemnation of the recent police actions, including the use of tear gas, water cannons, and the reported killings of peaceful protesters.
They emphasized the importance of the youth’s demands and called for peaceful engagement in addressing their grievances.Hon. Nding’o and his colleagues reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the youth in their quest for justice and democratic rights, urging the government to refrain from violent responses and to engage in constructive dialogue.
The message resonated with the attendees, highlighting a united front in the pursuit of peaceful protests and reforms.
