Hon. Patrick Koki Musau has firmly dismissed rumors circulating online that suggest he will serve as the deputy to former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu in the upcoming 2027 elections. Speaking to TCD Digital Editor on Wednesday afternoon, Musau clarified that his political focus remains solely on the Mwingi West parliamentary seat.
“The graphics in circulation claiming that I will deputize Charity Ngilu in 2027 are false and misleading. My ambitions are clear—I’m focused on the Mwingi West parliament bid in 2027,” Musau stated during the interview.
Musau, a well-known political figure in Mwingi West, is gearing up for the 2027 parliamentary race, with growing grassroots support. His clarification comes at a time when political alliances and speculations are rife ahead of the next general elections, especially in Kitui County, where Charity Ngilu’s political return has sparked significant interest.
Musau emphasized that the misinformation being spread is an attempt to divert attention from his campaign, but he remains committed to his goal. “I’m focused on serving the people of Mwingi West, and I have no intentions of engaging in deputy roles outside of that vision,” he added.
The legislator’s statement brings to rest weeks of speculation and provides clarity to his supporters and the general public. As the 2027 elections draw nearer, Musau’s commitment to the parliamentary race will likely continue to shape the political landscape in Mwingi West.
TCD Digital will continue to follow the developments as the campaigns unfold.
