The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has issued a final reminder to parents with children in Grade 6 to confirm their registration for the 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) before the portal closes today, February 28.
In a notice, KNEC emphasized that once the registration window shuts, it will not be reopened for any late entries. The registration process, which commenced on January 27, has been ongoing for a month, giving schools ample time to enroll candidates.
“Please note that today is the last day of registration of candidates for 2025 KPSEA. Please check with the school to ensure your child has been successfully registered and their details captured accurately,” the statement from KNEC read.
Parents have been urged to visit their children’s schools and verify their registration status to avoid any last-minute complications. Failure to register within the set timeframe means affected students will not be able to sit for the national assessment.
KPSEA is a key assessment under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), determining students’ progression to junior secondary school. With the deadline expiring today, schools and parents must act swiftly to ensure compliance.
