Jordan Hospital Ltd, in partnership with the Catheter Free Foundation, has launched the 8th Annual Free Urology Health Camp at its Kitui Town facility, located opposite Parkside Villa Hotel.
The two-day medical camp will offer free prostate cancer screening, alongside a 50% discount on urological tests and treatments. The initiative aims to empower men to take charge of their health and promote early diagnosis of urological conditions.
Residents are encouraged to attend the camp early and take advantage of the affordable services, with a modest registration fee of just KSh 200.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Joshua Matu, a urology surgeon at Jordan Hospital, urged locals to prioritize professional medical care and avoid mushrooming herbal clinics, especially those operating from guest houses.
“These unregulated clinics are more focused on business than patient well-being. It is vital for people to seek treatment from certified health facilities for safe and effective care,” said Dr. Matu.
Dr. Matu, alongside fellow specialists from Kenyatta National Hospital, emphasized the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment, warning against the risks posed by unverified traditional remedies.
The medical camp forms part of Jordan Hospital’s ongoing commitment to enhancing health outcomes through community outreach and access to quality care.
