Wiper leader and opposition chief Kalonzo Musyoka has praised Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, referring to her as his “twin sister,” as she launched the People’s Liberation Party at the Liberation House in Nairobi.
Musyoka, who was present at the event, took to social media to congratulate Karua, dismissing reports that the meeting had taken place at Tamarind Hotel, Mombasa, as alleged by their political opponents.
“Congratulations to my twin sister Martha Karua. Thank you for inviting me here today to the Liberation House, Nairobi, to witness the launch of the People’s Liberation Party,” Kalonzo wrote.
The Wiper leader also condemned what he termed as deep fakes, AI-generated misinformation, and propaganda aimed at discrediting the opposition, insisting that their rivals were in “a state of panic.”
Musyoka further hinted at a growing political movement against President William Ruto, stating that Karua’s new party marked the beginning of a unified opposition.
“Today, those on the other side have reason to know that this is the beginning of a new movement, where Kenya is united against one William Samoei Ruto,” he declared.
Karua’s People’s Liberation Party is expected to be a key player in shaping opposition politics ahead of the 2027 general elections. The launch attracted several opposition figures, signaling an intensified push to challenge Ruto’s administration.
