Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has asked Kitui Woman Representative Irene Kasalu and Senator Enoch Wambua to resolve their differences over the party’s gubernatorial ticket for 2027.
Addressing the issue, Kalonzo directed them to sit with Kitui Central MP Dr. Makali Mulu who is the chairman and agree on a candidate saying he’s too busy with national politics.
“I will not come to Kitui to sit you down. Go and sit with your chair, Dr. Makali Mulu, and decide who will fly the Wiper ticket,” Kalonzo said as Kasalu protested. Senator wambua has said he will be on the ballot for Governorship, Dr Makali Mulu has no reverse gear, he is said to be the most senior among them.
The battle for Wiper’s gubernatorial ticket in Kitui is heating up, with key party members jostling for support. It might end with casualties if they will not agree to field one candidate.
