Vatican City, Italy – Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna was among the Kenyan parliamentary delegation attending a high-profile worldwide Mps workshop organized by the International Catholic Legislators Network (ICLN). The event, which started on Sunday, brought together lawmakers from around the world to discuss matters of faith, service, and global challenges.
Speaking exclusively to TCD Digital, Wiper Party MP Charles Nguna shared his experience of the workshop and his excitement at meeting Pope Francis. “I’m in Italy for the International Catholic Legislators Network meeting. I was especially excited to meet Pope Francis. His message of reaching out to the vulnerable and his emphasis on the duty of Christian service to the needy challenges me to grow in faith and charity,” Nguna remarked.
The summit, which concluded today, provided a platform for legislators to engage on issues concerning faith, governance, and social justice. Representing Kenya, Nguna expressed pride in his role at the international event, highlighting the importance of such forums in fostering global solidarity and understanding among leaders.
