Kisasi Ward MCA Hon. Nicholas Mutemi has officially handed over a site at Ngiluni town to the contractor for the installation of four “Mlika Mwizi” streetlights, in a move aimed at improving security and lighting in the area.
The project is funded by the County Government of Kitui under the leadership of Governor Dr. Julius Malombe. The installation of the high-mast lights marks a significant step in enhancing safety and supporting local businesses that operate into the evening hours.
Speaking during the site handover ceremony, Hon. Mutemi emphasized the importance of lighting in fostering security and development. He assured residents of continued efforts to ensure more development projects are realized in Kisasi Ward.
The residents of Ngiluni expressed their gratitude to Governor Malombe and MCA Mutemi for their collaboration, which they credited for bringing such much-needed services to their area.
“We thank the Governor and our MCA for remembering Ngiluni in Mbusyani. This is a big boost for our safety and night-time economy,” said one of the local residents.
The installation works are expected to begin immediately and be completed within a short timeframe.
This initiative is part of a broader county effort to improve infrastructure and service delivery across Kitui.
