The County Government of Kitui, under the leadership of Governor Julius Malombe, has proposed an ambitious plan to roll out more than 300 community-level projects across the county’s 40 wards in the 2025/26 financial year.
These projects, part of the Community Level Infrastructure Development Programme (CLIDP), are aimed at improving local infrastructure and essential services at an estimated cost of Ksh 750 million.
The initiative, outlined in the county’s Annual Development Plan for 2025/26, will address key sectors such as water, health, education, roads, and agriculture. The projects are designed to meet the unique needs of each ward, with community involvement at the forefront of the decision-making process.
Governor Malombe’s administration continues to prioritize development at the grassroots level, ensuring that residents benefit from accessible infrastructure and services.
The CLIDP projects are expected to play a vital role in improving living standards, fostering economic growth, and enhancing social welfare across Kitui County.The Annual Development Plan emphasizes that the projects will be distributed fairly across all wards to ensure balanced development, with each project evaluated based on its impact and sustainability .
