Kitui County has reaffirmed its position as a prime investment destination as it prepares to host the Kitui International Investors Conference in March 2026.
Speaking during the official opening of the Kitui Investors’ Sensitization Forum, Governor Julius Malombe highlighted the county’s vast investment potential, emphasizing the six economic and investment zones that provide numerous opportunities for both local and international investors.
“Today’s sensitization forum is a significant milestone in our journey towards unlocking the vast investment potential in Kitui County,” Governor Malombe stated. He underscored the forum’s importance in fostering partnerships that will drive economic progress and create sustainable opportunities for future generations.
The Governor noted that his administration is prioritizing infrastructure development to enhance energy accessibility, clean water supply, and digital connectivity—key factors in ensuring a business-friendly environment.
The two-day forum, which serves as a precursor to the 2026 international conference, has attracted over 3,500 attendees from across the county, signaling growing interest in Kitui’s investment prospects.
With strategic efforts in place, Kitui County aims to position itself as an economic hub, attracting investors to key sectors such as agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and tourism.
As preparations for the 2026 conference gain momentum, the county government remains committed to creating an enabling environment for investment, further reinforcing Kitui as a leading destination for economic growth and development.
