Kitui East: Wiper Politician Kitute Hosts Azimio Principal to Solidify Political Base

By Our Reporter.

Kitui East saw a significant political gathering as Wiper politician Militonic Kitute hosted Azimio principal and Wiper party leader, Hon. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. This move is seen as a strategic effort by Kitute to bolster his popularity in the constituency ahead of the upcoming general election, where he is expected to vie for the Kitui East parliamentary seat in 2027.

Kitute, who was the Wiper candidate in the last general election, narrowly lost to UDA candidate Hon. Nimrod Mbithuka Mbai. In a bid to reclaim and strengthen his political base, Kitute organized a series of events, including a worship service at the Full Gospel Church in Yulambyu, Zombe/Mwitika Ward in Kitui East constituency, which was attended by Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka and other notable leaders.

The leaders, including H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, participated in the church service before addressing a large crowd of enthusiastic locals who had turned up in significant numbers. This show of support is a testament to Kitute’s growing influence and his strategic positioning ahead of the elections.

As local politics intensifies, Kitute’s recent activities are interpreted as a calculated move to increase his visibility and connect with the electorate, reinforcing his commitment to the community and his political ambitions.
