Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has lauded Miambani Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Alex Nganga for his deep understanding of devolution laws and the challenges facing county governments. The Governor made the remarks while addressing media during the County Executive week-long midterm review consultative session held in Mombasa.
Governor Malombe praised Hon. Nganga for his informed and constructive engagement on matters of governance, adding that such leadership at the ward level is critical in advancing the devolution agenda and improving service delivery.
“Hon. Nganga has demonstrated an admirable grasp of devolution laws and the complex realities counties face. Leaders like him strengthen the foundation of effective governance at the grassroots,” said the Governor.
During the session, Governor Malombe also outlined key achievements of his administration since August 2022, citing the successful implementation of 1,669 projects valued at Ksh. 9.645 billion across Kitui County. The Governor highlighted major strides in agriculture, water, health, education, urban development, and infrastructure, while acknowledging areas that still require strategic investment and support.
In closing, Governor Malombe reiterated his commitment to inclusive development and welcomed continued collaboration with MCAs like Hon. Nganga in delivering on the county’s development agenda..
