Kitui MCA Mark Ndingo Urges President Ruto to Prioritize Road Upgrades & Development Projects

By TCD TEAM.
Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Ndingo has called on President William Ruto to fulfill his campaign promises by prioritizing the upgrading of key roads in Kitui County.

Speaking to the press, Ndingo emphasized the need for the tarmacking of the Kwa Vonza to Kanyangi road and the completion of the Kwa Siku to Migwani road.

“The president should prioritize tarmacking of the Kwa Vonza to Kanyangi road and the unfinished Migwani road. These are some of the major roads he promised to tarmac when he visited Kitui during the campaign period,” stated Ndingo.

In addition to infrastructure, the MCA urged the government to consider constructing a 10,000-seater stadium in Kitui town, which he believes will be a significant milestone for the county’s development.

“Also, the construction of at least a 10,000-seater stadium in Kitui town will be a huge milestone,” he added.

Ndingo further highlighted other key areas that need government intervention, including electricity connectivity, water supply, education, healthcare, and security. He also stressed the importance of inclusivity in government, advocating for more representation of Kitui County residents in national appointments, regardless of political affiliation.

“We also feel that we want more of our sons and daughters included in government, regardless of our party affiliations, considering that we are Kenyans and we pay taxes,” he noted.

President Ruto is expected to lead the National Madaraka Day celebrations this year in Kitui town. The event presents an opportunity for local leaders to push for the fulfillment of promises made during the election campaigns and to seek national government support for key development projects in the region.

As Kitui prepares to host the national celebrations, residents and leaders alike hope that their concerns will be addressed, bringing much-needed development to the county.
