Kitui Senator Beth Syengo Advocates for Broad-Based Government, Calls for Reappointment of Peninah Malonza as Gender CS

Kitui Senator Beth Syengo has publicly endorsed the formation of a broad-based and inclusive government, highlighting the need for diverse representation in leadership to foster national unity and enhance governance. In a recent statement, the senator emphasized that an inclusive government would better address the varied needs of Kenyans and contribute to effective national development.

Senator Syengo also appealed directly to President William Ruto, urging him to reappoint Peninah Malonza as the Cabinet Secretary for Gender. According to the senator, Malonza’s leadership in advancing gender equality has been instrumental in addressing key gender-based challenges across the country.

Syengo cited Malonza’s competence and dedication, emphasizing that her reappointment would play a crucial role in empowering women and supporting the government’s broader agenda of social and economic progress.

“Peninah Malonza has demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting gender equality and addressing the unique challenges women face in our society. Her leadership would significantly contribute to the empowerment of women and align with the government’s vision for inclusive growth,” Syengo stated.

As discussions around the formation of a more representative government continue, Syengo’s remarks are seen as part of a larger conversation about ensuring gender balance and inclusivity in key leadership positions, in line with the administration’s goals for national cohesion and development.
