Former Kitui Senatorial candidate Hon. Stephen Kilonzo, popularly known as Kitundumo, has officially declared his bid for the Kitui Central Parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2027 general election — a move that has significantly altered the political dynamics in the constituency.

With the incumbent MP Dr. Makali Mulu set to vie for the Kitui gubernatorial seat after serving for three terms, Kilonzo’s entry into the race is already unsettling other aspirants.
