Kitui Woman Representative Hon. Irene Kasalu on Friday joined family, friends, and local residents at the burial ceremony of the late Thomas Kilonzi Makau in Mikuyuni, Miambani Ward, Kitui Central Constituency.
Hon. Kasalu was accompanied by Kitui County Assembly Minority Leader Hon. Alex Nganga and several other local leaders in paying their last respects to the late Kilonzi, a revered elder in the community.
While addressing the mourners, Kasalu described the late Kilonzi as a man of humility, wisdom, and integrity.
“The late Kilonzi was a close friend to my late father and a consistent source of support throughout my political journey,” she said.
She lauded his contributions to the community and noted that his legacy of leadership and service would continue to inspire many.
The solemn event brought together leaders and residents from across Kitui County, united in honoring the life and impact of a man many described as a pillar of the community.
