In a ceremony held at the Makueni County Headquarters, Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. presided over the absorption of 453 Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) teachers into permanent and pensionable positions. This significant event underscores the County’s dedication to recognizing and rewarding the hard work of its educators.

Governor Mutula commended the teachers for their tireless efforts in shaping the future of the region’s children. “This appointment is a testament to your hard work and dedication,” he stated, emphasizing the vital role teachers play in the community.

This recent absorption follows the initial cohort of 497 ECDE teachers who were brought on board in January of this year, marking a continued commitment by the County to enhance the quality of early childhood education.
