Former Kyuso MCA Hon. Stephen Kivunzi has called on Kitui County leaders to stop political infighting and work in unity to support Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s 2027 presidential bid.
Speaking during a church event in Kyuso, Mwingi North, Kivunzi urged sitting MCAs to focus on development instead of engaging in unnecessary political battles. He emphasized the need for harmony in the County Assembly to avoid portraying a negative image of Kitui politics.
At the same event, former Mwingi Councilor Hon. Mulongo advised Kitui leaders to extend their political campaigns beyond the county instead of following Kalonzo within Kitui. He urged MPs to mobilize national support for Kalonzo’s presidential ambitions.
The event was attended by key leaders, including Mwingi North MP Hon. Eng. Paul Nzengu, Kitui Central MP Dr. Makali Mulu, alongside several MCAs. The chief guest, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, received overwhelming endorsement from the leaders, who declared their full support for his 2027 presidential race.
Kivunzi’s call for unity comes at a crucial time as Kitui leaders strategize on how best to position Kalonzo Musyoka for national leadership.
