Kitui County has taken a bold step in positioning itself as a key investment destination with the launch of the Kitui Investors’ Sensitization Forum in Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward. The two-day event, officially opened by Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, serves as a precursor to the Kitui International Investors Conference set for March 2026.
The forum, attended by over 3,500 participants, brought together county leadership, investors, stakeholders, and members of the public to discuss economic prospects and investment opportunities in Kitui.
Speaking at the event, Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Kitute emphasized the region’s strategic importance, noting that Kanyonyoo area has immense potential for economic and investment growth. He urged investors to explore opportunities in various sectors, positioning the ward as a prime business hub for the county.
Governor Malombe reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure, energy accessibility, clean water supply, and digital connectivity to create a conducive environment for investment.
“This sensitization forum is a significant milestone in our journey towards unlocking the vast investment potential in Kitui County. It provides a platform for forging partnerships that will drive economic progress and create sustainable opportunities for generations to come,” Malombe stated.
The county government has identified key investment sectors, including agriculture, mining, renewable energy, real estate, and industrialization, to attract both local and international investors.
