Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Ndingo has called for an innovative approach to bridge the generational gap in Kenyan politics by urging President William Ruto to meet with Gen Z in the popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Speaking on Kenya Broadcast Corporation (KBC), Ndingo highlighted the importance of direct engagement between the President and the younger generation to address their concerns and aspirations.”The conversation should continue between the President and Gen Z,” MCA Ndingo emphasized, underscoring the potential of this interaction to foster a deeper understanding and cooperation.
He proposed that following this digital engagement, the government should hold a national dialogue summit where Gen Z representatives can present their memorandum directly to the President.
In his address, Ndingo expressed optimism about the impact of such initiatives on national development. “Let’s think about how to make Kenya a better place for all of us,” he remarked, stressing the importance of inclusive dialogue in shaping the future of the nation.
The proposal by MCA Ndingo has garnered attention, sparking discussions on the potential of social media platforms in facilitating meaningful political discourse and engagement with the youth. As Kenya navigates its path to development, such innovative approaches may play a crucial role in ensuring that the voices of all generations are heard and considered in the policymaking process.Ends
