MCA Mark Ndingo Hosts Nicholas Mulila for Church Fundraiser – Unveils Ksh 15M Health Boost for Yatta

Yatta Kwa Vonza Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Mark Ndingo on Saturday hosted a successful funds drive at Kwakilui for the construction of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Kwakilui Parish.

The event was graced by several leaders, including Hon. Nicholas Mulila, Hon. Katula Mukwate, and Hon. Gabriel Munyao.The fundraising event, held at the proposed site of the new parish, attracted enthusiastic support from the local community and leaders alike. Hon. Ndingo announced that construction works for the parish will begin immediately, starting tomorrow.During the event, Hon. Ndingo also delivered good news to the people of Yatta Kwa Vonza. He revealed that the Safaricom Foundation has approved a Ksh 15 million project to renovate and equip the Maternity and Newborn Unit at Yatta Health Centre, Kiusyani.

The initiative aims to elevate the facility to a Level 4 medical center.The project will be implemented through MPESA Foundation Project Management Consultants, ensuring professional oversight and timely delivery. Once completed, the upgraded facility is expected to greatly improve maternal and neonatal care in the region, benefiting thousands of residents.

“This is a major milestone for our people. Improved healthcare and spiritual infrastructure are key pillars of development. I thank all partners and supporters for standing with us,” said Hon. Ndingo.

The event marked a day of unity, development, and renewed hope for the Yatta Kwa Vonza community.
