Hon. Mark Nding’o, MCA for Yatta/Kwavonza Ward, officially handed over the completed Kwa Mutie & Nzaku Sand Dam (Mung’eto) to the Ilika community. The project, located along the Kathokoe/Makuli river, aims to improve water access for the area.
The ceremony was attended by the Ilika Village Administrator, Celestine Kasimu, Kitui Rural Sub County Water Engineer Richard Mwanzia, county officers Jedidah Mulandi and Anne Mutie, Ilika Assistant Chief, and community members.
The dam is expected to greatly benefit local residents by addressing water shortages.
