Medical Camp Held at Muthale Satellite Clinic, Functional Assessments Planned in Mutomo and Mwingi

Members of the public today attended a medical camp at Muthale Satellite Clinic, organized by Caritas Kitui in partnership with Cheshire Disability Services Kenya and EARC Mumias. The event provided essential medical services, focusing on improving community healthcare, particularly for vulnerable groups.

In a continued effort to enhance healthcare for children with disabilities, two additional Functional Assessment exercises have been scheduled for the coming days. These assessments will take place at Mutomo Special School on 25th September and at Mwingi Primary School on 26th September 2024.

The two events will focus on assessing and treating children with disabilities and other school-going children in Mutomo and Mwingi. Medical professionals will provide general treatment and conduct disability assessments aimed at supporting the health and well-being of the children in these areas.

The collaboration between Caritas Kitui, Cheshire Disability Services Kenya, and EARC Mumias demonstrates a growing commitment to providing vital health services to communities in need. The initiatives are expected to improve access to medical care for children with disabilities and contribute to their overall development and integration into educational systems. For more information, contact:
