High ranking Member of Parliament for Mwingi West hon Charles Ngusya Nyuna has revealed an overwhelming response from concerned citizens regarding the controversial Finance Bill.

Since yesterday, Mp Nguna reported receiving more than 10,000 messages from Kenyans via WhatsApp and SMS. These messages fervently urge him and other MPs to reject the proposed bill.

Nguna highlighted the massive influx of public opinion as a vital aspect of democratic participation. “Keep on sending them to MPs,” he encouraged, “it’s your right, it’s part of public participation!”

The Finance Bill has sparked significant debate and public outcry, with many Kenyans expressing fears over potential economic impacts. Nguna’s disclosure underscores the intense public engagement and the critical role of citizen voices in legislative processes.
