MP Charles Nguna Hailed as Bold Voice for Mwingi West, Credited with Revival of Kitui-Kibwezi Road

Mwingi West Member of Parliament Hon. Charles Ngusya Nguna, popularly known as CNN, is being lauded as a visionary leader and a bold representative of the people. Known for his forthright and unwavering commitment to his constituents, Nguna has earned admiration for standing firm in the face of political tension to push for development across party lines.

Despite being a member of the opposition Wiper Party, Hon. Nguna has consistently engaged the Kenya Kwanza administration in constructive dialogue, particularly on social, economic, and development matters affecting his people. His efforts have often involved navigating political risks to ensure the needs of Mwingi West residents are met.

One of his most notable achievements is the revival and progress of the long-stalled Kitui-Kibwezi road, which had been dormant at Kwa-Siku since 2020. Nguna’s behind-the-scenes lobbying and persistent follow-ups are believed to have played a key role in pushing the project back on track.

Residents now hope the road construction will extend through key areas such as Migwani town, Thokoa, and Musuani—further boosting local trade and accessibility in Mwingi West.

“It’s not easy for an opposition MP to rally support and harmonize such infrastructural projects in the current political climate, but Hon. Nguna has done exactly that,” said a local political analyst.

With 2027 politics already taking shape, CNN’s proactive development agenda may prove pivotal in consolidating his grassroots support.
