MP’s Swift Intervention Brings Relief to Residents and Businesses
Residents of Thokoa town and surrounding villages in Mwingi West can finally breathe a sigh of relief after Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) replaced a faulty transformer that had left the entire area in darkness for the past two weeks.
The transformer, which had blown up, brought business operations in the area to a standstill, causing untold inconvenience to households and local enterprises. However, following the intervention of Mwingi West Member of Parliament, power has now been fully restored.
Speaking after the restoration, locals expressed gratitude to the MP for his swift and decisive action in ensuring KPLC moved promptly to address the issue.
“With power back, businesses can now run smoothly, and residents can go back to normal life,” said one local trader.
The MP reaffirmed his commitment to continue pushing for efficient service delivery and improved infrastructure across Mwingi West.
