Mp Nguna Joins hands with Cs Machogu, Penina, Edith Nyenze to Support St. Anne’s Muthale Girls’ School Development

Kitui West, June 14, 2024 — A high-profile fundraiser was held today at St. Anne’s Muthale Girls’ School in Kitui West Constituency, drawing a notable assembly of leaders and dignitaries. The event aimed to raise funds for the construction of a perimeter wall, a modern gate, a flyover, and a state-of-the-art computer laboratory for the school.

The fundraiser was graced by Hon. Charles Nguna, MP for Mwingi West, who joined other distinguished guests including Hon. Edith Nyenze, MP for Kitui West, Prof. Ezekiel Machogu, the Cabinet Secretary for Education, and Hon. Peninah Malonza, the Cabinet Secretary for ASALs (Arid and Semi-Arid Lands).

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Nguna emphasized the importance of enhancing the school’s infrastructure to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for the students. “Investing in education is investing in our future. The improvements planned for St. Anne’s Muthale Girls’ School will not only enhance security but also ensure our students have access to modern educational facilities,” he said.

CS Machogu highlighted the government’s commitment to improving educational standards across the country, noting that such community-driven initiatives complement national efforts. “The development of infrastructure in our schools is crucial for fostering a learning environment that meets the demands of the 21st century,” Machogu stated.
