Kitui South Member of Parliament Hon. Dr. Rachael Nyamai has launched a passionate appeal to residents of Kitui County to support President William Ruto’s bid for a second term ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking during a high-profile empowerment forum held at Kanyangi in Kitui Rural, Nyamai criticized former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over alleged involvement in activities fueling unrest and incitement among the youth across the country.
Nyamai accused Gachagua of hypocrisy, stating that while he owns property abroad, ordinary Kenyans have no other country to call home.“Unlike those with homes in Dubai, wananchi wa hapa hawana mahali pengine. Sisi watu wa Kitui tuna mimba ya maendeleo, na lazima tutazalie hapa. Hatuna pa kwenda,” she declared to an energized crowd.
The MP reaffirmed her commitment and that of Kitui residents to continue working with President Ruto, saying the region must be at the center of national development.“Tutampea Rais Ruto mihula miwili. Tutashirikiana naye hadi mwisho. Wale wanaendelea ku-incite vijana wa Gen Z wanapoteza muda,” she added.
The empowerment event was graced by top government leaders including Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, MPs Mwalo, Kawaya, Mwengi Mutuse, among others.
The gathering marks a growing show of strength by pro-Ruto allies in Ukambani, signaling early political mobilization efforts ahead of the next election cycle.
