Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna Attends Memorial Service for Slain Kasipul MP Ong’ondo Were

Mwingi West Member of Parliament, Hon. Charles Nguna, today joined fellow legislators and mourners at Consolata Shrine in Nairobi for the memorial service of the late Kasipul MP, Hon. Ong’ondo Were.

The solemn service brought together a host of leaders from across the political divide who paid tribute to the fallen legislator, praising his commitment to public service, development, and advocacy for the people of Kasipul Constituency.

Speaking after the service, Hon. Nguna expressed deep sorrow over the untimely loss of his colleague, describing him as a dedicated servant of the people and a true patriot. “We have lost a hardworking leader, a friend, and a colleague whose voice in Parliament will be sorely missed,” he said.

The body of the late Hon. Ong’ondo Were will be laid to rest this Friday at his rural home in Kasipul Constituency, Homa Bay County.

Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding his tragic death are still ongoing.
