Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna has revealed that the push to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has gathered significant momentum. According to Nguna, a total of 246 Members of Parliament have already appended their signatures in support of the impeachment motion, signaling a growing political rift within the country’s leadership.
Mp revealed that Gachagua’s political future is hanging in the balance. “From the look of things, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is gone home,” Nguna declared, emphasizing the weight behind the signatures already collected.
The impeachment motion has reportedly been gaining traction due to various concerns among MPs, although specific grounds for the impeachment have yet to be officially disclosed. If successful, this would be one of the most significant political upheavals in Kenya’s recent history, challenging the stability of the top leadership under President William Ruto.
