The National Liberal Party (NLP) has kicked off a major roadshow registration drive across Kitui County aimed at mobilizing support and enrolling new members. The week-long campaign, which started on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, will see the party traverse key towns and markets in a bid to strengthen its grassroots presence in the region.
According to the official schedule, the NLP caravan will begin its tour in Kitui Town before proceeding through Wikililye, Katulani, Kavumbuni, Maliku, and Kavisuni. On Thursday, the team will engage residents in Kabati Town, Kalundu Market, Kunda Kindu, and culminate the day at the Kitui Bus Park.
Friday’s itinerary includes stops in Kisasi, Mosa, Makele, Ikanga, and Kyatune, while Saturday will cover Mutomo, Ikutha, Kyandula, Muangeni, and Athi. The final leg of the roadshow on Monday, April 28, will circle back to Kabati and Kalundu before wrapping up at the Bus Park in Kitui Town.
NLP Party Leader Dr. Kyalo Muli has called on residents of Ukambani to turn out in large numbers and register with the party, positioning it as a fresh political alternative for the region.
“This is a movement for the people. We want to give voice to the aspirations of Ukambani residents who feel left out by the traditional political outfits. The National Liberal Party is here to offer that alternative,” Dr. Muli said.
The roadshow is expected to spark significant political interest as the 2027 general elections draw closer.
