Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has lost his position as chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee in a reconstitution of parliamentary committees led by National Assembly Majority Whip Sylvanus Osoro.
Several MPs allied with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, including Wanjiku Muhia, James Gakuya, and Onesmus Ngogoyo, have also been removed from key committee roles.
Osoro stated that the changes were guided by regional balance, gender considerations, political affiliations, and negotiations. New committee members are expected to elect their chairpersons within seven days.
